Audrey Simmons

Audrey Simmons is a performer and teaching artist who is skilled in many genres and practices. She grew up in Georgia where she first fell in love with all things dance and theatre. She has enriched her training over the years by attending world acclaimed intensives such as BalletX, Keigwin + Company, Paul Taylor Dance Company, The Joffrey Ballet, Orlando Ballet, Academie Americaine de Danse de Paris with Violette Verdy, and trained with Broadway legends Elizabeth Parkinson and Scott Wise at the Vineyard Arts Project.  Audrey then moved to Philadelphia to obtain her BFA in Dance with a minor in Musical Theatre from The University of the Arts. She has since worked in some of the most renowned theaters regionally, including Broadway at Music Circus, The Walnut Street Theatre, Riverside Theatre, Tuacahn Center for the Arts, and more. Along with her performing career, Audrey values passing on what she loves most about her craft as a teacher. In addition to teaching dance, she received her 450-hour Comprehensive Pilates Certification from Drexel Pilates under direction of Jennifer Morley and is also certified in Ballroom Dance. You might have heard of Audrey recently as she had a blast choreographing Annie Jr. and The Wizard of Oz for the Phoenixville Area School District and has also been a teaching artist at the Walnut Street Theatre.
